Thanks so much for linking to the interview, Julianne! I also liked your quote from last Friday - very fitting.
You're welcome, Sarah. It's an excellent interview. I'm sorry it escaped my notice for so long. I've fallen a bit behind on my blog reading.
No need to apologize! I've been getting a number of referrals from your blog, so thanks again - I appreciate your comments!
I'm about half way through. I love this book so much, especially after teaching Teresa of Avila last quarter. I think Dunant must have used her as a source. The history is pitch perfect so far as I can see.
I can't wait to read it. I finished listening to IN THE COMPANY OF THE COURTESAN on CD a few weeks ago and really enjoyed that. Glad to hear you find her latest novel engaging. I'm a big Teresa of Avila fan myself, so I'll look especially forward to reading this novel.
